Without our traders to showcase we wouldn’t have a market, and we are exceptionally proud of the standard of traders we work with who deliver the very finest mouth watering foods, unusual, quirky, intricate crafts, and exquisite design led art that has been produced in the local area.

Our traders are some of the most knowledgeable, friendly people, all eager to share their stories and never happier than when they are talking about what they have made.  They themselves are  producers – people who grow, make, create, style, rear, craft or bake the products that they sell.

As a result, our markets have become a vast repository of culinary knowledge, artisan craftsmanship and skills from previous generations. It’s a place to explore, to ask questions, to discover new flavours, stumble upon raw talent, unearth entrepreneurship, nurture bygone mastery, and to savour a unique, buzzing atmosphere.

We work closely with our traders aiming to ensure that our markets meet their needs.  As a not for profit group we are driven not by profits but ensuring the market works for the traders that use it and the local community.  As a result our traders often tell us that our market is their ‘favourite market’.

So if you would like to trade with us as either a casual trader, or a member with full benefits, please read carefully through our market criteria, and rules, & think about whether you can meet the criteria and standard we expect. If you think you can – great! Just complete the application form, and return it to us by post or email.

Our Artisan traders are sourced based firstly on their ability to meet our trading criteria.

Membership is available to locally based traders based within the North Coast and Glens area, within 30 miles of Ballycastle that provide the finest locally produced handmade goods.

Complimentary/casual traders are then sourced further afield to ensure the variety of goods on offer is exceptional, and to add variety to the market.

Applications for traders are considered on a regular basis. With a committee made up of volunteers, and a small workforce– please be patient if you don’t hear from us immediately. We will contact you either to let you know if your application has been accepted,  or explain why it isn’t possible to accept your application at this time.  Processing applications may take up to 8 weeks and we always recommend getting your application along with any required supporting information to us in plenty of time before any markets that you may be interested in.

All Traders must register and trade as a casual trader once before applying for membership (membership criteria also applies)
